Jazz music was created in New Orleans by Afro-American musicians. After that, music also became a free space for others, where especially Jewish musicians and composers have contributed. Legendary musicians such as Benny Goodman and Stan Getz and composers such as Irving Berlin and George Gershwin, along with many others, have contributed to giving the music a strong Jewish imprint.
Benjamin Koppel and musicians will in this concert pay tribute to the Jewish imprint on jazz music. He Is accompanied by the legendary Grammy Award winning trumpeter Randy Brecker.
