SONGS OF LITE (lang: DA og ENG)
For centuries, Lithuania (in Yiddish Lite) has been home to a large Jewish population among other nationalities. A multi-ethnic society where a strong Jewish culture was characterized by as much a modern outlook as a religious strength. The Jewish Lithuanians were given a special nickname, Litvak, and this concert is a tribute to the Litvak identity and its spiritual center, Vilnius. This concert places Yiddish songs in a Lithuanian context. Admission.
