Al’Fado is a Portuguese-Israeli ensemble with roots in the rich music scene of Lisbon. The focus is on the cultures of the Iberian Peninsula with ties to the medieval Jewish community and expressed through the unique language Ladino. Al’Fado’s music is inspired by various local music genres such as fado and flamenco mixed with African and Brazilian influences. By mixing musical genres, languages and cultures, it aims to bring people from different cultures together.
