Klezmer clarinetist Dave Tarras was
born in Ukraine (died 1989) and fled to
USA after the Russian Revolution. He
was a famous Jewish musician with a
characteristic sound and phrasing and
is still an inspiration to many Klezmer
musicians today. In honour of Dave
Tarras, Mames Babegenush will perform
a concert with internationally acclaimed
musicians covering a range of Jewish
music genre from Klezmer, Yiddish
evergreens, swing and Hasidic music.
